The Divorce

Eminem and his girlfriend Kim was married in summer 1999. But the marriage was ill-fated. Already after one year marriage Eminem filed for divorce on 22. June 2000. This was no surprise: Several weeks ago, Eminem caught Kim cheating on him with John Guerra. But Em discontinued the action in December 2000. The official statement: Eminem and Kim try to recover theis marriage because of Hailie Jade. In vain, because Kim filed for divorce beginning of March 2001. The reason: The objects of martimony have been destroyed and there remains no reasonable likelihood that the marriage can be preserved. The couple come to an argreement quick: Kim get $475.000 to buy her an new home, they both share child custody for their daughter Hailie Jade. Only about the sum of the alimony there is controversy: Kim asks for $200.000 alimony for Hailie p.a.

In 2000 Eminem received an offer for a private settlement: he should have paid $2.000 0000 to his mom. He refused this offer and waited u til the final process in spring 2001. Debbie argredd to settle for $25,000.

Gun Charge

On June, 3rd 2000 Eminem hit a man called John Guerra over the head with an unloaded 9mm Smith & Wesson gun after he saw Guerra kissing his wife, 27-year-old Kimberly Mathers, outside a bar in the early hours of Sunday morning. Kimberly Mathers, Eminem and his friend were arrested about 2:20 a.m. Sunday after police received a 911 call reporting a man with a gun. Eminem, born Marshall Mathers III, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed weapon. On the same night, earlier, Eminem brandishing a weapon during an argument with the road manager for a rival act, Insane Clown Posse. Eminem was charged with carrying a concealed weapon.

The sentence of the first trial on 10. April (John Guerra):
Eminem sentenced to two years probation
He must refrain from all excessive use of alcohol and any controlled substance unless prescribed
He must comply with requirement of alcohol and drug testing at the request of probation officers
No attempt could be made to make fraudulent samples for testing

The result of the second trial on 27. June: (ICP):
Eminem gets one year of probation for gun charges. This latest sentence will run concurrently with the two years of probation he received in April for separate weapons charges, and it carries many of the same restrictions, including bans on using alcohol or drugs and engaging in threatening or violent behavior. In addition to the community service, however, the new sentence also requires Eminem to get approval from Langford Morris to travel out of the state.
